This Ondulation project interferes with the delicate notion of freedom. In analogy to the threads which are freed from the web but cannot get rid of it entirely, I propose a reflection on our capacity to go beyond our mental constructions to open towards a larger dimension and less confined to pre-established rules or to recurring “patterns”. In this same sense, I emphasize the tension between the social fabric and the individual, and our understanding of what freedom is, both group and individual. The works, overall, therefore give rise to a meditative and playful space where simplicity rubs shoulders with a dive into the Immeasurable, where the vast portions of blank canvas make it possible to open a space for reflection, or to reflect the thoughts of the viewer.
